The Penitential Vigil, presided over by the Holy Father Francis, at the conclusion of the Retreat in preparation for the Second Session of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, was held at 6pm on Tuesday 1 October at the Altar of the Chair in St. Peter's Basilica.
