The Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC), received a new impetus from the Synod Final Document (FD 117) and offer a concrete experience of synodality. This workshop seeks to address two questions: What new theological insights and pastoral practices have BECs generated in the journey toward a more synodal Church? What spiritual and structural challenges are they facing, particularly in relation to limited mindsets and rigid leadership structures? It is hoped that members Synod Teams from different parts of the world can contribute their insights and experiences.
