Speaker: Rev. Fr. David MC CALLUM, S.I., Executive Director of the Discerning Leadership Program
In nearly every ecclesial context, we encounter challenges that require discernment between seemingly competing values or objectives, e.g., the care of individual people and the care for the apostolic work as a whole; the role of hierarchical authority and the role of inclusive participation; the need for flexibility and the need for structures, etc. In this session, Fr. McCallum will introduce the practice of "Navigating Polarities," which helps us to both discern these apparent contradictions and to make more creative and effective decisions for moving forward.
