This seminar will focus on the nature of Organisms of Participation in a Synodal Church as bodies of ecclesial discernment for mission. Based on the Part III of the Final Document of the Synod on Synodality, the seminar will explore the relationship between the call for greater lay participation (FD 77), the context of discernment (FD 85) and the exercise of authority in the Church (FD 91), with reference to both current Organisms of Participation and future possibilities.
