Speaking on 13 May 2024 at the Press Conference for the presentation of The Bishop of Rome, a document of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Christian Unity, Cardinal Mario Grech dwelt on the ministry of the Pope, as the successor of Peter, showing how the synodal dynamic that develops and articulates communion among the faithful, bishops and Churches shows how it would be possible to arrive at an exercise of primacy at the ecumenical level.
