Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life are invited to carry out three distinct types of discernment each of which will have its own corresponding synthesis and deadlines.

1.        A discernment process carried out by the General Government of one's own Institute. In this case, for the compilation of the synthesis we invite you to follow the indications sent by the USG last October. The deadline for submitting the syntheses to USG is 27 March 2022.

2.        A path of discernment within the local Church. Inserted in a specific particular Church, each member of an Institute of Consecrated Life as well as each member of a Society of Apostolic Life is called to live the path of discernment in parishes or other diocesan realities as indicated by the local Ordinary. In this case, the indications and deadlines indicated by the diocese are followed.

3.        Finally, a journey of discernment within one's own Institute. In this case, we invite you to follow the indications (DEU - ENG - ESP – FRA – ITA – POL - POR) that the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops sent on 17 January 2022. This time, the summaries should be sent to the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life by 30 June 2022. You can send your report to press@religiosi.va.
